Obama has tried this election cycle to contrast himself from McCain by painting his own portrait as a figure above the perceived corruption of campaign lobbyist monies. However, his ‘community organizer’ moniker (it seems that the term and ‘Obama’ have become synonymous) and the maligned term ‘lobbyist’ have quite a bit in common. Furthermore, his connections with lobbyists in his past are not shaken, in fact are ever closer today than before.
